Laura R. Klein, MD

Brownsboro DermatologyDr. Klein grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Kansas in 1981. While practicing nursing, she studied pre-med at the University of Kansas and in 1982 moved to Louisville and studied at the University of Louisville. Dr. Klein attended the University of Louisville Medical School and graduated in 1988. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Louisville where she finished her training in 1992. Dr. Klein is board certified in Dermatology and maintains this status with regular recertification.
She is gratis faculty at the University of Louisville and is a clinical professor teaching the residents at the Veterans Administration Dermatology Clinic. Dr. Klein also volunteers at the Family Community Clinic. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is married to Dr. Jon Klein, a physician with the University of Louisville. They have two daughters, Rachel and Sarah, and a grandson.
Denise L. Puthuff, MD

Dr. Puthuff is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1987. Following her internship plus two years of internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville, she completed a dermatology residency at Ohio State University in 1995. She is board certified in dermatology and maintains this status with regular recertification.
She also volunteers at the Family Community Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She currently serves on the Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation board and is active in international and local mission work.
Michelle H. Hannigan, APRN
Michelle is a native of Louisville. She received her BSN from Spalding University and then her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville in 2004 where she specialized in Adult Medicine. She found her passion in dermatology in 2000 and began her career as a dermatology nurse practitioner immediately after graduation. Michelle has extensive training and experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Michelle is AANP board-certified and is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives and the Kentucky Dermatological Association.
Michelle has two grown children, Nick and Lauren Hannigan.
Margaret Hamilton, APRN, DNP
Margaret is a native of Bardstown, Kentucky. She earned her Bachelors of Nursing from Miami University In 2010. Upon graduation, she was accepted into Vanderbilt University’s Nurse Residency Program. She worked as an oncology/medicine RN for several years and completed her Masters of Nursing in 2013 from Vanderbilt University. She then began practicing as a dermatology nurse practitioner within a large multi-specialty physician practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 2015, she completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She has specialized in Dermatology since 2012.
Margaret is AANP board-certified and is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and Nurse-Midwives. Margaret is married and has twin boys and a daughter. She enjoys outdoor family activities and travels in her spare time.
Janice W. Yusk, MD - Retired
Dr. Yusk is a former Tennessean, who graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1966. Following her internship and two years of dermatology residency at the University of Tennessee, she completed her last year of dermatology residency at the University of Louisville Medical School. She is board-certified in Dermatology and maintains this status with regular recertification.
She is a clinical professor at the University of Louisville Medical School in dermatology and pediatrics. She is also former Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at Kosair Children's Hospital and currently volunteers at the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic there. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, Pediatric Dermatology Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She currently serves on the board of the Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation. She is married to Ted Hodge, Ph.D. They have four children and several grandchildren.
