Dr. Denise Puthuff

Dr. Denise Puthuff is a native of Louisville, who graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1987. Following her internship and two years of Internal Medicine residency at the University of Louisville in 1990, she then went on to complete a Dermatology residency at Ohio State University in 1995. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. Dr. Puthuff has been practicing dermatology since 1995. Her special interests include acne and skin cancer.

She volunteers her time at the University of Louisville Dermatology Clinic in downtown Louisville and a free clinic in Shelbyville. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Physicians. She has been recognized in Louisville Magazine as an outstanding physician and also by the AAD for volunteer service. She received the AOA Outstanding Faculty award in 2001.

She is married to John Timmons (owner of ear X-tacy) and has a lovely cat named Spike.
