Dr. Laura Klein

Dr. Laura Klein grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Kansas in 1981. While practicing nursing she studied pre-med at the University of Kansas and in 1982 moved to Louisville and studied at the University of Louisville. Dr. Klein attended the University of Louisville Medical School and graduated in 1988. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Louisville where she finished her training in 1992. Dr. Klein was board certified in Dermatology in 1992 and recertified in 2002. She has been practicing in the field of dermatology since 1992.

She volunteers as a clinical professor at the Veteran Administration Medical Center teaching dermatology residents. Dr. Klein is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been recognized in Louisville Magazine “Best Doctors in Louisville.”

She is married to Dr. Jon Klein, physician with the University of Louisville. They have two daughters, Rachel and Sarah.
